Synopsis
By now all practitioners who compound extemporaneously for their patients know that on November 1, 2022, the USP committee finally published the two compounding chapters we have been waiting for, USP General Chapters 795 Non-Sterile Preparations, and 797 Sterile Preparations. They will become “official” and therefore enforceable on November 1, 2023. At this point in early 2023 this gives us all less than 300 days to come into full compliance with these important documents.
